Online broker announces key marketing partnership with CNNfn.com

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Online broker E*Trade Group Inc. announced Wednesday a marketing partnership with CNNfn.com. The alliance continues e-Trade's efforts to establish a strong presence on popular financial news and information web sites.
Under the terms of the agreement, a direct link to E*Trade will be featured prominently on CNNfn.com's new Broker Center.
"E*Trade is targeting the 10 to 15 million investors who currently use the Internet for investment research, but who still execute their trades off-line," said Jerry Gramaglia, Senior Vice President of Marketing for E*Trade. "We believe that CNNfn effectively reaches that market."
The partnership is also being promoted on-air by CNNfn. CNNfn Interactive, the group that oversees CNNfn.com, has a similar marketing deal with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter's Discover Brokerage Direct.
"With this relationship, E*Trade now has partnerships covering most of the financial news and information sites we consider the most important draws for serious investors," Gramaglia added.
