Your current clientele is a good resource for expanding your business

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Dear Jane: I run a successful home-based business teaching Spanish to adults. I would like to attract more corporate clients and grow my business more in that direction. Corporate clients are more profitable because I charge them more and charge mileage to get to their offices. How can I reach this market?
First, ask your past and current students to give you the name and contact information for the human resources manager at their companies. Start by marketing your classes to these folks as well as the owner or top manager of the firm.
You'll need to do some research to compile a current list of companies doing business in Spanish-speaking countries. It shouldn't be too difficult to find this if you visit the companies' Web sites and learn about their international operations.
Start by targeting one or two big companies in your area. If you are just one person teaching every class, you don't want to be overwhelmed with requests for service that you can't fulfill. Do a good job and ask your clients for written testimonials to help market your services to other corporations.
