Send out a memo setting dress code policy; set a good example yourself

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - October means Halloween and costumes are on everyone's mind. But what do you do if every day is Halloween for some of your employees?
Employees who dress inappropriately may be costing you money in the form of lost business.
Because singling out one or two people is difficult, it's best to draft a dress code policy that outlines the dos and don'ts of office attire.
Be sure you are setting a good example. It's not fair to ban blue jeans around the office if you show up in your comfy, torn Levis.
One way to spread the fashion gospel is to invite a local clothing store owner to present a seminar -- on company time.
