CNNfn's Myron Kandel marks 50 years as a journalist

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Myron Kandel, the financial editor and an anchor for CNNfn, this week celebrates his 50th anniversary as a journalist.

Kandel is one of the founders of CNN in 1980, and has been instrumental in the growth and development of CNN Business News. He started his career in 1951 as a copy boy at the New York Times, earning $27 a week. He worked his way up to financial reporter and later became the financial editor of three major newspapers.
Kandel is the author of "How to Cash in on the Coming Stock Market Boom," published in January 1982, which accurately forecast the bull market that began that summer.
