Earning miles is relatively easy, and some travelers can't live without them

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - In this day and age frequent travel miles are considered currency to travelers and airlines. Some consider them assets worth fighting over. Travel specialists say that people even argue over them when getting a divorce.

Most programs have elite members as young as 2 years of age, since that is when a child is require to have his or her own seat. The oldest member, according to WebFlyer.com, is a Delta Airlines flier who is 101 years old.
