Most valuable car collection ever auctioned

The McLaren F1 is widely regarded as one of the greatest performance cars ever made.

However, the owner of this car asked McLaren to make a few modifications -- just for him. In particular, he asked that it be fitted with the 680 horsepower V12 used in the McLaren F1 LM -- as in LeMans -- a track-oriented version of the car. He didn't want to turn it into a racecar, however, so he asked for various comfort features, such as upgraded air conditioning, stereo and a satellite navigation system.

It also includes an in-car intercom system so that the driver can communicate with the passengers even over the intense howl of the engine. In a McLaren F1, both passengers sit behind the driver, so chatting at high speeds could be difficult.
