Sarpy County may be tiny, but it sure is mighty. It is Nebraska's smallest county by area, but its population, spurred by bright job prospects, has been growing rapidly and ranks third in the state.
Perched on Nebraska's eastern border, the county is home to Offutt Air Force Base, a crucial employer in the area. Low operating and hiring costs have also attracted businesses like eBay's PayPal, which runs a customer service facility that is an important job provider.
In March, Sergeant's Pet Care Products said it was relocating its manufacturing operations here. The company, once a part of ConAgra, is anticipated to employ nearly 60 workers at the facility and could expand further in the future.
