This Denver suburb serves as an outdoor mecca for well-heeled commuters. Despite a recent boom, Highlands Ranch is still considered a bedroom community.
But up-and-comers can still pick up a 6-bedroom, 6-bath, 5,000-square-foot manse with a three-car garage for about half a million dollars. With two nationally ranked high schools, it's a no-brainer.
