The turbulent housing market hasn't made business easy for Home Depot, but with good weather and a modestly improving economy on its side, the nation's second-largest specialty retailer has managed to come out strong. The company ended 2011 with $70.4 billion in revenue, up 3.5% from 2010. The home improvement company's positive performance was due in part to a combination of mild weather patterns as well as an increase in business from professional contractors. |
